Sunrise over Twin Sisters, during a climb up Longs Peak, Rocky
Mountain National Park. A rare delight to see sunrise from a mountain
trail. The Nikon doesn't deal gracefully with saturation (why not?),
and the original showed artificial color
contouring in the sky near the sun. I was able to (almost) remove
this artifact by carefully drawing a mask over the affected region,
and adjusting the tone curves for the individual color planes within
this region. Selective smoothing removed some remaining banding.
Still not perfect, though...
