Education and Public Outreach

Participated in the NSF Center for Adaptive Optics Professional Development program, attending three Professional Development Workshops learning to design science courses using inquiry based methods (2007-2009).

Inaugural Lead Instructor at the Prospective Graduate Symposium. Designed a fluid dynamics inquiry and ran workshop for undergraduate students attending the Northern California Diversity Forum. (Fall 2009)

Inaugural Lead Instructor of Workshop for Engineering and Science Transfer Students in the Physical Sciences (PhysWEST). Designed a novel resonant Pendulum Inquiry (see Kretke, Kim & Bresler, 2010). (Summer 2008)

Instructor for the NSF Center for Adaptive Optics (CfAO) Summer School. Designed a Stellar Populations Inquiry (see Rafaleski et al, 2010). (Summer 2007)
