During the last stages of star formation, the young star is surrounded by a gaseous, dusty disk. It is out of these disks that all of the planets, both those in our own solarsystem and in a myriad of others, form. I want to understand how planets form and how the structure of these planetary cradles impacts abundance of planets and the final architecture and planetary systems.
